Peter Chambers Wins Sata Grayling Day on TEF Flies

Yorkshire Angler wins Grayling Day Cup with ‘Essential Fly’ tackle and flies.

Peter Chambers, a keen flyfisher from Harrogate has regularly entered the annual Salmon & Trout Grayling Day Competition over the last 12 years however his first success came this year courtesy of a size 16, yellow, CDC Klinkhammer supplied by Essential Fly - just the day before the competition! This fly took six grayling, the largest two giving Peter the prize for the biggest brace.  “I find the service from Essential Fly absolutely first rate” commented Peter.” It was only a couple of days before the competition that I realised I was short of small Klinkhammers but a brief phone call soon fixed that. Oliver Edwards commented that Peter would be joining a famous list of winners, Oliver having won the competition many times. The epitaph to the story was written by Greg Tunesi, when he said "Peter must have stood in something lucky today, it will be a dreadful drive with Peter on the way home, I'll have to put on my headphones" - Peter saw the number 113 on a strip of raffle tickets and rushed to buy them, of course first prize in the SATA Raffle a #2/3 7'6" rod and reel was won by Peter also (as well as a bottle of wine!). Talk about luck, well done Peter.
